Welcome to the “Legacy Collection”

The Legacy Collection is an intentional release of early works created between 2015 and 2020 — a period that laid the foundation for what is now Afrocentric Keyy.

These original paintings represent the grassroots years of my artistic journey: the experiments, the risks, the curiosity, and the first moments where my visual language began to take form. From cultural figures and celebrity portraiture to early fusions of nature, symbolism, texture, and the human form, each piece carries the raw energy of becoming.

This collection is offered at special collector access pricing, based on size, as a way to welcome both first-time collectors and returning supporters into the lineage of my work — while making space for the next chapter of creation.

  • Before exhibitions, before large-scale reclaimed wood panels, before layered Afro-Realism had a name — there was exploration.

    The works in this archive were created during a formative era where I painted instinctively and often fearlessly. Many of these pieces were inspired by cultural icons, music, Black identity, and the natural world, blended together through expressive color, pattern, and movement. They reflect a period where I was learning how to translate emotion, heritage, and imagination into visual form.

    These paintings are not “lesser” versions of my current work — they are the roots.
    They hold the early sparks of intention that continue to guide my practice today.

  • Legacy Collection works are priced by size to ensure accessibility while honoring the labor and originality of each piece:

    • Small Works — starting at $75

    • Smedium Works — $150–$400

    • Medium Works — $400–$650

    • Large Works — up to $1,000

    Pricing reflects the ‘era of creation’, not the value of the work today.
    Once a piece is collected, it will not be reproduced or re-released.

  • These works are being released intentionally and in limited quantities.

    Each artwork will arrive with:

    • Title, year, and medium

    • A signed certificate of authenticity

    • A short archive note connecting the work to its era

    • Framing recommendations can be provided upon request
