The Legacy Collection is a curated release of original works created between 2015 and 2022 — formative years that laid the foundation and practice for Afrocentric Keyy.

These paintings offer a glimpse into the evolution of my visual language: the experimentation, curiosity, and creative risks that shaped the work I create today. From cultural figures and portraiture to early explorations of nature, symbolism, texture, color, and the human form, each piece holds a distinct moment within my artistic journey.

More than earlier works, these paintings are part of my creative archive — markers of where I began, what I explored, and how my practice evolved.

For a limited time, works from the Legacy Collection are available at special collector access pricing based on size, creating an opportunity for new and returning collectors to own an original piece of Afrocentric Keyy history.

Every artist has a beginning. This is part of mine — and an invitation to carry a piece of that legacy forward.

  • Before exhibitions, before large-scale reclaimed wood panels, before layered Afro-Realism had a name — there was exploration.

    The works in this archive were created during a formative era where I painted instinctively and often fearlessly. Many of these pieces were inspired by cultural icons, music, Black identity, and the natural world, blended together through expressive color, pattern, and movement. They reflect a period where I was learning how to translate emotion, heritage, and imagination into visual form.

    These paintings are not “lesser” versions of my current work — they are the roots.
    They hold the early sparks of intention that continue to guide my practice today.

    Owning a piece from the Legacy Collection means holding a tangible part of that evolution.

  • Legacy Collection works are priced by size to ensure accessibility while honoring the labor and originality of each piece:

    • Small Works — $75 - $349

    • Medium Works — $350–$699

    • Large Works — $700 - $1,000

    Pricing reflects the ‘era of creation’, not the value of the work today.
    Once a piece is collected, it will not be reproduced or re-released.

  • These works are being released intentionally and in limited quantities.

    Each artwork will arrive with:

    • Title, year, and medium

    • A signed certificate of authenticity

    • A short archive note connecting the work to its era

  • Unless otherwise stated, artworks are sold unframed to allow collectors full creative control.

    • Framing is optional and can be arranged independently

    • Some works may arrive wired and ready to hang

    • Framing recommendations can be provided upon request

  • Each Legacy Collection artwork includes:
